Pezesha and MPESA showcase at the Kauffman Africa Fellows VC Summit 2023
Pezesha was honored to be one of the African Fintech startups that showcased our innovative solutions for SMEs at the Kauffman Africa Fellows VC Summit 2023 in Nairobi. The 3-day summit, hosted by Africa’s tech giant MPESA, which also showcased its SME solutions, brought together over 300 investors from over 35 countries and Kauffman Fellows from leading VC firms in Africa. The summit aimed to foster connections and collaborations between investors and local and global entrepreneurs in a bid to shed light on Africa’s market dynamics.
We were honored to share our vision of empowering small businesses with affordable working capital by leveraging alternative data to offer credit to small businesses in the ‘missing middle’. Our showcase attracted the attention and interest of many top VCs and global entrepreneurs in the room and paved the way for one-on-one discussions where we shared our insights and experiences on the market dynamics and opportunities in Africa, and how we are addressing the $328 billion financing gap for SMEs in sub-Saharan Africa.
